SPECTRUM ANALYSIS WITH A CCD SPECTROMETER

Educational content :

  • source study
  • spectrum study
  • absorption
  • transmission and filter reflection

This experimental set will allow you to make spectrum analysis with a CCD spectrometer. This set contains all the necessary accessories to make a full use of the potential of such an instrument.

The study of different sources surrounding us permits the distinction between continuous spectra, line spectra, and LED spectra.

To understand how the colors of objects exist, the study of the absorbance of various types of filters (from interferential to tainted filters) will help. Some analyzable objects and a cylindrical tank will permit you to imagine further experiments.

PHOTOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Educational content :

  • Source study
  • Flux
  • Laser Power
  • Lumens, Lux
  • Scotopic & Photopic vision
  • Chromaticity

With the spectrovio spectrometer, the photometric sensor permits the measurement of all visual and energetic parameters of a luminous source.

The software linked to the spectrometer and its probe, give the source spectrum, its flux, its lighting, its intensity in Lumens. It is the complete tool to study both photometry and spectrometry.

BALMER'S SERIES STUDY WITH A CCD SPECTROMETER

Educational content :

  • source study
  • spectrum study
  • Balmer’s Hydrogen lines
  • Rydberg value

In addition to the the CCD spectrometer, this set contains a spectral source with several gasses (including hydrogen) and permits the measurement of wavelength, the identification of different gazes but also the very important study of Balmer’s lines of Hydrogen atom.

PRINCIPLE OF THE MONOCHROMATOR

Educational content :

  • Czerny Turner’s assembly
  • diffraction gratings
  • spectrum
  • calibration
  • resolution

With this experimental set, you will build different types of monochromators: Czerny-Turner’s assembly, assembly by concave gratings. You will do yourself the alignment and calibration of your assembly. You will then be able to measure the resolution of the system and carry out spectrum analyses of sources and filters.

With the complementary set « acquisition and measurement » you will be able to digitize and quantize your measurements.
